GERLIEVA expands its production area to 3,500 m² in total

With completion of our new building in June 2012, we seek to restructure our production facilities and to optimize production procedures, explains our CEO Armin Linbrunner.

The building for the CNC machine shop is an extension of the first construction phase on our site in Heitersheim. Besides the new 1,200 m² production area, the project included modern recreation rooms for all employees, offices for production management and machine programmers, and an additional training room in the existing building.

Besides completing the building works, we have expanded our machine park adding a CNC lathe, a deep-hole drilling machine and a water-jet cutting machine.

The FLOW Mach 3 water-jet cutting machine operates at pressures up to 4,200 bar and can cut a variety of materials (plastics, sheet metal, steel plate) using the pure-water and abrasive processes. We use it to reliably and accurately cut the flat diaphragms and seals needed for controlling the medium in our spray heads.

Reorganization of assembly

In the reorganized assembly shop, our employees have more space for the complex operations needed to complete our plants. By moving the CNC machines into the new building, we made space available for packing and dispatch, for machine acceptance procedures, and created optimum conditions for training customers on our mold and forging-die spraying plants.
